When I was growing up there was a game show on television called, "To Tell the Truth." The idea of the show focused on three people, where one, and only one was the "REAL" person in question. The other two were "IMPOSTERS." They were so good at their answers that they gave the host, that, when it was time for the "REAL" one to stand up; I was skeptical, because the other two were so good in their responses. But, there was only one of the three who was telling the "TRUTH." The other two were "LYING." At the end of the show, the host would ask would the real "so and so" to please stand, and so they would all jostle in their seats, then the person who was the one in question would slowly stand, often to my amazement. I was so sure I knew who was telling the truth...
In the same way, there is only one true God, and all the others are fakes. Unfortunately, people are easily deceived by those who do not believe in the one true God and because these "imposters" make themselves to be so believable. The Bible says, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5). "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him" (Hebrews 11:6).
